Amebiasis Cutis


Etiology
Amebiasis is an infection of Entamoeba hystolytica into the skin with typical symptoms. Generally preceded amoeba infection elsewhere, especially in the gastrointestinal tract and liver abscesses.


Clinical Overview
Erythematous macular lesion with a rough surface uneven. If you have long red would be a granuloma around the anus, perineum and buttocks, then break up and remove the amoeba. Then become red and thickened areas. Usually the patient complained of itching and pain.


Differential Diagnosis
Granuloma inguinal, Limfogranuloma venereum, Tuberculosis mucocutaneous, Carcinoma of the rectum.
