Amenorrhoea


Amenorrhoea is the absence of menstruation for at least 3 months in a row. Speaking of primary amenorrhoea, when a woman aged 18 years and over have never got my period; being in secondary amenorrhoea, the patient never got my period but then can not anymore.
Primary amenorrhoea causes generally have more severe and more difficult to resolve, such as congenital abnormalities in genetic disorders. The existence of secondary amenorrhea is more pointed to the causes that arise later in the lives of women, such as nutritional disorders, metabolic disorders, tumors, infectious diseases, and others.
Furthermore, there is also a physiological amenorrhoea, which is contained in the period before puberty, during pregnancy, lactation, and after menopause.
