Drug

According to a general sense, the drug can be defined as materials that cause changes in biological function through chemical processes. Drugs can be synthesized in the body (eg hormones) or the chemicals that are not synthesized in the body.
Drugs can be solid at room temperature, liquid, or gas form. These factors often determine the best route of administration.
Many drugs are weak acids or weak base. This fact has important implications on how different groups of materials is handled by the body. PH differences in the various compartments of the body can change the degree of ionization of the drug, until finally a useful drug that is disabled or is excreted from the body with sufficient speed in order to work within the appropriate timeframe.
