Menopause is a part of the irreversible aging process involving the female reproductive system. Physical complaints, such as breast tension, irregular menstrual bleeding, hot flushes, dyspareunia, and emotional problems, such as sleep disturbance, fatigue, feeling tense, and irritable. Menopause begins after 12 months after the last menstrual period and is characterized by continuing symptoms of vasomotor and urogenital symptoms, such as vaginal dryness and dyspareunia. Age of onset of menopause is around 45-51 years. Need a special examination of risk factors specific to the diseases that often occurs in menopausal women, which is associated with cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, breast cancer, and endometrial cancer.
Several approaches can be recommended lifestyle changes to relieve menopausal symptoms. That approach include sport and physical exercise, stop smoking, stop the input of alcohol, exposure to sunlight, and diet high in fiber, low fat, and rich in antioxidants.
