Edit Post
Twin fetus usually occurs due to fertilization of two different ovum that is double-ovum twins, dizygotic, or fraternal. About a third of fetuses derived from a fertilized ovum, and then split into two similar structures, each individual has the potential to develop into a separate, namely single-ovum twins, monozygotic, or identical. Either or both processes may play a role in the formation of multi-fetal pregnancies other. For example, quadruplets can be from 1 to 4 ovum.
Dizygotic twins in the truest sense is not true twins because they come from the maturation and fertilization of two ova during 1 cycle ovulatorik. Monozygotic or identical twins, were usually not identical. The process of splitting a fertilized zygote into two does not always produce an equal distribution of protoplasmic material. Furthermore, the formation of monozygotic twins is actually a process of teratogenic and monozygotic twins showed increased incidence of structural malformations. In fact, dizygotic or fraternal twins of the same sex may seem identical at birth than monozygotic twins, while monozygotic twins fetal growth may not be balanced and sometimes so dramatic.
