Mycetoma

Etiology
Mycetoma is a chronic disease, suppurative, and granulomatous caused by infection of chronic deep fungal Actinomycetes type actinomycotic (genus Nocardia and Streptomyces), and type eumycotik (genus Madurella, Allescheria, Cephalosporium and Phialophora.
Clinical Overview
Fungus into the skin through abrasions or blisters on the feet, then developed into a regular tumor under the skin that can spread to muscle and bone, causing deformity on foot. Tumors then relented, formed fistula or ulcer release exudate secretions contain grains of sulfur granules. Patients complain of pain and swelling was always accompanied by regional lymph nodes.
Differential Diagnosis
Scrofuloderma, Osteomyelitis.
