Biotin is heat resistant, water and alcohol soluble, and easily oxidized.
Sources of biotin are liver, egg yolk, cereals, soybeans, peanuts, mushrooms, bananas, oranges, watermelon, and strawberries.
Symptoms of biotin deficiency are fatigue, poor appetite, nausea, vomiting, muscle pain, dry and scaly skin, seborrhoeic dermatitis, alopecia (baldness local), and tingling.
