Oral Mucosal Monoliasis


Also called candidiasis which is caused by the yeast fungus Candida albicans. Attacking white lesions and oral mucosal membrane of epithelial tissue underneath.
The diagnosis of this disease can be ensured by planting culture on agar Sabouraud. Candidiasis can be the first clue of the presence of diabetes mellitus, anemia, malnutrition and often found in premature babies or small children. Candidiasis can also be caused by a relationship with hormonal deficiency.
