Thrombocytopenic Purpura


Etiology

Thrombocytopenic purpura is extravasation of red blood cells to the skin and mucous membranes caused the number of platelets in the blood less than normal with the manifestation of macular redness that is not lost with emphasis.

Clinical Overview
Characterized by acute petechiae in the skin and mucosa, particularly oral mucosa. Can also occur epistaxis and bleeding conjunctiva. Purpura slowly changing colors, first red and then become blue, followed by yellowish brown color, and finally faded and disappeared.

Diagnosis Differential
Allergic vasculitis, Dermatitis medicament.
